Cookie Policy

This page lists everything MY-BOOK stores in your browser, including cookies, local storage and session storage, and explains why. There are no advertising or third-party tracking cookies.
The short version
- Essential storage keeps you signed in, protects sign-in and remembers your choices. It's always on because MY-BOOK can't work without it.
- Preferences remember how you like things, such as your Listen player settings. They're only saved when you change a setting.
- Analytics is optional. Only if you accept it, we keep a random visitor ID in your browser to count unique readers and reading time. Without your consent, we count visits with an anonymous daily code that our server makes from network details. That code is never stored on your device and changes every day.
- We don't use advertising cookies or third-party tracking cookies.
You can change your choice at any time.
What we store in your browser

Global Privacy Control and Do Not Track
If your browser sends a Global Privacy Control or Do Not Track signal, our cookie banner tells you we've noticed it. Analytics stays off unless you choose to turn it on yourself.
Other services
- Google and LinkedIn sign-in: if you choose to sign in with them, they set their own cookies on their own websites, under their own policies.
- Videos in posts: YouTube (in privacy-enhanced mode) and Vimeo (in do-not-track mode) players only load when you press play. Before that, YouTube preview images are loaded from YouTube's servers. Once a video plays, the video service may set its own cookies.
- myproject.ai sign-in: MY-BOOK reads your myproject.ai sign-in cookies so you don't have to sign in twice. It doesn't change them.
Change your choice
Use the “Change cookie settings” button above, or “Cookie settings” in the footer of any page. If you withdraw consent for analytics, we delete the visitor ID from your browser straight away.
You can also clear site data in your browser settings. You'll be signed out and we'll ask for your choice again. Read our Privacy Policy to find out how we use the data we collect.
Changes to this policy
If we start storing something new, we'll add it to this page and update the date at the top. If it needs your consent, we'll ask you again before we use it.
